New Covenant

Gal_6:15 Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is a new creation.

Gal 6:15  (MSG) Can’t you see the central issue in all this? It is not what you and I do–submit to circumcision, reject circumcision. It is what God is doing, and he is creating something totally new, a free life!

The aim of the gospel is that God’s Spirit is creating a new type of human being.

Luk_5:37-39 And no one pours new (neos) wine into old wineskins. If he does, the new wine will burst the skins, the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined.38  No, new wine must be poured into new (kainos) wineskins. 39  And no one after drinking old wine wants the new, for he says, ‘The old is better.'”

It’s not about regeneration of the old.

NEW: kainos:  A completely new species, a new type, never seen before, fresh, unspoilt. Nor regenersated from something old.

NEW: neos: New in time, renewed, youthful, the old regenerated. A new batch of an old type.

It’s like a brand new 4×4 model car, that is designed specifically to go wherever and can do the stuff, as opposed to a revamped old model road car that just can’t perform.

1Pe 2:11  Dear friends, I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world, to abstain from sinful desires, which war against your soul.

Heb 11:13  All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance. And they admitted that they were aliens and strangers on earth.

Eph 2:19  Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God’s people and members of God’s household,

We are aliens on earth,

We are born into a new species ans a new home, heaven.

Gal 3:16  The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. The Scripture does not say “and to seeds,” meaning many people, but “and to your seed,” meaning one person, who is Christ. …..v19  What, then, was the purpose of the law? It was added because of transgressions until the Seed to whom the promise referred had come.

1Pe 1:23  For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.

There first has to be conseption, the Word coming into us.

Like a women, we have to open ourselves up to recieve.

God’s seed is Jesus in us.

It’s like we have a new set of genetics.

Our old genetics are wipped out.

Joh 1:12  Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

After we have recieved the word of the gospel it must lead to a birth

We have to be born again – a new spiritual birth.

Sometimes the Word is aborted by the devil, like birds pecking up seeds.

Joh 3:3 In reply Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”

Joh 3:3 (MSG) Jesus said, “You’re absolutely right. Take it from me: Unless a person is born from above, it’s not possible to see what I’m pointing to–to God’s kingdom.”

Only the new creation can see or enter the new promised land – His Kingdom.

We no longer sin, we love!

1Jn 3:9  No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God. This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother. This is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another.

1Jn 5:18  We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the one who was born of God keeps him safe, and the evil one cannot harm him.

Percecution will come from the slaves to law.

Gal 4:28  Now you, brothers, like Isaac, are children of promise.  At that time the son born in the ordinary way persecuted the son born by the power of the Spirit. It is the same now.

Co 11:25  In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.” For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.
